6 Steps to staying motivated

Hey everyone!! I finally decided to pick back up on my blogging. (Super excited about that) I fell off a bit cause a lot of things have been going on and changing in my life. BUT I'm back now :D!

One thing i definatly was fighting with through out the entire weightloss journey is the motivational factor. It sure is one of the most important things to any idea you want to bring to life. Without motivation there will be no beginning, no progress and no reached goal.

So you see, motivation is pretty darn important. Right? Right???

I'm going to give you guys a few ideas and ways on how to get motivated and how to keep it going.

1. Take a few minutes and think of what motivates you the most.

Think of what triggers the desire of being a better version of yourself. It could be a picture of someone you look up to, a friend who done what you want to do, an old pair of jeans you used to fit in, someone who came from nothing and is successful now.

What makes you want to do better?

Why does it make you want to be better?

What is it that you need to do to get to the next step?

How much time will it need on a daily basis?

Visualize all the main factors and it will get you prepared for whats ahead. The better prepared you are for the bumps on your way, the better you will manage to overcome them.

2. Hang a picture of it on your wall.

Make sure you look at your motivation every single day. This will be a constant reminder of why you started your journey.

3. Follow motivational accounts on any or all social medias.

IG, facebook or twitter you name it. There are thousands and thousands of accounts for your motivation out there :D Every time you open up your facebook or IG, you will see it all up in your news feeds. SO AWESOME! Isn't it? I think so!!! :-p

4. Tell yourself out loud "I GOT THIS!"

If you feel like you are to tired or the temptations are getting the best of you, just tell yourself "I got this! I'm stronger than this!" Say it OUT LOUD! You'll be surprised how much those few words will get your motivation back.

5. Don't get lost in the process.

There will be times when you will feel discouraged, because it may take longer than what you have expected. It's OK! An exact estimation of the duration is almost impossible to predict. Because you want it so bad, you will mislead yourself sometimes. When you hit that point where you feel like you have done so much and are still not even half way there, take a deep breath and look back on what you have accomplished so far. How you are no longer at the starting line. You are further than you have ever been at that point. Giving up is not an option, cause if you do, all that hard work you have put in already will be gone. All the struggles you have overcome would have been for nothing.

6. Every hurdle is only a learning experience.

A rocky road is an emotional roller coaster. But your attitude about it is how well you can work through it. When times get rough, try thinking of a rock in your way as an oportunity to learn. Your journey is telling you "hey buddy! It's time to learn and grow." Cause that's the only way to get better.

Successful people are not successful because their journey was smooth and easy. They are where they are because they learned how to overcome ever single rock they hit.
